My son and I have enjoyed our stay!  This was a spur-of-the-moment stop, and when I was online looking for accommodations, I was unsure about choosing a B&B.  They seem more for romantic couples, not for my teenage son and me.  But I was drawn in by the online photos and excellent reviews, and I booked the Cottage Rose Suite for us, and I’m so glad I did.  My son and I greatly enjoyed the local beaches and the local ice cream!  My son enjoyed the WiFi in his own room, while I walked the Cliff Walk.  We had a wonderful time.  Thank you.

From the evening we got here, with the green fairy lights shining all over and sparkling white spheres hanging from the tree greeting us, to this lovely morning of departure after a sunrise walk to the Cliff Walk, this place is a delight for the senses!  Upon walking into our room (Captain’s Quarters) the fresh clean smell of sheets greeted us and the ocean/ship theme mixed in with the decorations, furniture, and small touches personally placed, was a joy to behold.  For our first and only stay in Maine, we loved it!  Great hosts that are personable & easy to talk with.  Helpful ideas of things to see & do and they can cook some delicious breakfasts!  Every little detail is a treat for the eyes, ears, & touch.  Thank you for accommodating us & sharing this lovely world of yours!

It has been four years between our visits to Tanglewood Hall, and the York Harbor Suite was a perfect room for getting reacquainted with the place.  We were awoken by lots of sunlight coming in through the sunroom.  The fireplace was a nice way to warm ourselves after spending time outside in these cool spring days.  Andy and Su were, as always, incredible hosts with lots of great ideas for day trips and place to eat.  Breakfast was terrific, especially “Eggs in a Cloud”, and the company of other guests was great too!  We will be sure to make the time between this stay and our next one here short!

Pulling into your driveway on this beautiful day was like driving into a secret garden.  The rhododendrons were at peak and all of your grounds and gardens are beyond lovely.  Then on to the porch and into this magical home.  I could live in this house in this town by the sea.  It’s perfect–your attention to detail is exceptional.  The bed was as comfy as it looked.  Breakfast this morning was delish.  Great directions for the rest of our day.  Oh, did I mention the twinkling lights throughout the trees, bushes, and hanging plants?  You both were so kind, welcoming and gracious. Easter Morning!  Even though we didn’t get an Easter Basket (ha,ha), “home” would be the word I would use.  Comfortable, quiet, homey.  Thank you for the baked oatmeal recipe, my grandchildren will enjoy it for sure.  This was the perfect place we needed to get away.  We were given the space that we needed and the breakfasts were awesome!

A most wonderful way to begin our retirement B&B tour!  The York Harbor Suite was cozy and spacious and I particularly enjoyed the sunroom (which fortunately was sunny despite the brisk breezes and temps outside!).  Dinner at Clay Hill Farm was exquisite!  This is a very beautiful spot and we will be sure to recommend it to our Portland friends–as long as they give us first dibs on reservations!  We plan to be back!

Many thanks to our gracious hosts.  The York Harbor Suite is a beautiful room with all the amenities.  We loved the fireplace… it kept us nice and cozy at night.  Enjoyed the porch in the morning, nothing like a great cup of coffee while sitting there soaking up the morning sun.  We celebrated our 35th anniversary here and thought what could have been a better place to celebrate it.  Even though it was just a one night stay, it was well worth the trip!

Valentine’s weekend could not have been more wonderful.  We were looking for escape and adventure from bustling Boston life and after much searching, found the last room available here at Tanglewood.  We were ecstatic to come up.  Andy & Su are absolutely wonderful and caring people.  They gave us amazing advice for things to do and see (and eat!) in the area.  It felt homey and was extravagantly humble.  We will definitely return, hopefully this summer.  First time here to Maine, but won’t be our last.  This is truly a beautiful place on earth with perfect hosts to guide us in the experience.
