As a licensed Bed and Breakfast in the State of Maine and Town of York, we are closely monitoring and abiding by the COVID-19 regulations and recommendations of the Maine CDC. We will be reducing the number of occupied guest rooms available to three, so that at any given time there will be no more than 8 persons in the house (including ourselves). We will also be blocking off two days before your reserved dates, which means we can guarantee that no one else will have been in your room for at least 52 hours. The Inn has over 5000 square feet of living space allowing for optimum social distancing. We have separate living quarters on the third floor.
We are being even more hyper-vigilant about sanitation in our guest rooms and contact surfaces in our common areas, and have implemented additional protocols using EPA certified COVID-19 Cleaning Products to help minimize exposure risks. We both have been Food ServSafe certified since the mid-1970s. Our dishwasher is NSF Sanitary Certified and our clothes washer and dryer both have specifically designed high heat Sanitation cycles. We have also purchased a commercial ozone machine which eradicates coronaviruses.
Effective July 3 per Governor Mills, the following is required to be adhered to by all lodging guests: Each adult who is NOT a Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut, New York, or New Jersey resident, must sign a Certificate of Compliance form attesting that they have received a negative COVID-19 test result (within 72 hours prior to arrival), OR that they will quarantine in Maine for 14 days, OR that they have already completed their quarantine in Maine. This Certificate of Compliance must be provided to check-in at all Maine lodging, campgrounds, seasonal rentals, and other commercial lodging, such as Airbnb. Visitors may be asked to furnish proof of the negative test result upon request.
Per the State of Maine, face coverings are mandatory whenever outside of your room in our common areas (except when eating). Andy & I are required to wear masks as well. Face coverings are required in all stores in town, so please bring yours with you. You must follow proper 6-foot social distancing between you and any others that you might encounter in our lodging areas.
In order to support optimum social distancing and best practices protection, all guests will have the option of Self Check-in and Self Check-out. Your balance due will automatically be charged to your credit card on file on the morning of arrival. We will provide you the front door security door code and directions to your room along with other pertinent info. We will encourage communication via text or phone calls vs personal contact. At this time, we will no longer be entering rooms to for daily housekeeping; we will replace towels, replenish requested supplies, or empty trash set outside your door.
We are no longer able to serve our breakfast buffet. Breakfast selections will now be pre-ordered the evening before and can be enjoyed in the privacy of your room or outside on our front porch at individual tables.
We are following recommendations to keep both you, us, and others safe. These rules and guidelines are constantly being updated. If you feel you cannot, in good faith, agree to these guidelines, please choose another place to stay. We reserve the right to turn away anyone who is symptomatic.
During these difficult times if you decide to cancel, we will be issuing a Cancellation Credit Voucher for a future stay for the full amount of your reservation for any cancellations that fall within our original nonrefundable 14 day notice cancellation policy that was agreed upon when booking. If you cancel 14 days before arrival, we can either issue you a Cancellation Credit Voucher for the full amount of your deposit, or your deposit can be refunded, less our normal $25 fee per each room cancelled for costs we incurred to process your reservation.
