Location:
Our central location allows you to plan many day trips to explore the
spectacular Southern Maine Coast and to return to a peaceful garden
woodland sanctuary at day's end. The Inn is located approximately one
hour north of Boston in York Harbor nestled on the Maine coast, one
town south of Ogunquit and just north of Kittery. Kennebunkport
is only 20 minutes north of here and historic Portsmouth less than 15
minutes south. Portland and Freeport are less than an hour away. Best
of all, York Beach's renowned sand and surf is just a stroll
away.
From the South:
Take Interstate 95 North towards "All points in Maine". AFTER crossing
The Piscataqua Bridge in New Hampshire you will be in Maine! Take Exit
7, "The Yorks". (Last exit before tollbooth for the Maine Turnpike).
See directions "From Both Directions (North and South)"...
From the North:
Take Interstate 95 South. After passing through the last tollbooth on
The Maine Turnpike (just south of Wells and Ogunquit) take first exit,
"The Yorks". See directions "From Both Directions (North and South)"...

From
Both
Directions (North and South):
Follow the spur road from Exit 7 "The Yorks" to Route 1. (Chamber of
Commerce and Stonewall Kitchen offices will be directly in front of
you). Go RIGHT onto Route 1 South. Immediately move to the left lane.
At the first stoplight go left onto Route 1A (York Street) for
approximately 2 1/2 MILES. As you enter the old village be sure to stay
on York Street by bearing right at the statue of the soldier. We are
located between Wild Rose Lane and Roaring Rock Road. The Tanglewood
Hall entrance will be clearly distinguished by our sign, Welcome Flag,
and
two white gates on your right (611 York Street).
Airports to consider:
Manchester New Hampshire and Portland Maine are easy to navigate due to
their smaller size and location. Boston's Logan is very busy but may
provide you with the best valued flight. Manchester and Boston are just
over an hour away and Portland is just 40 minutes from here.
